As a Spokane defense lawyer, Julie A Twyford has handled numerous jury and non-jury trials. She is a current and former board member of the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (WACDL), a former president and vice president of WACDL, and the creator of SAFE (Spokane Attorneys For Equality), a local criminal defense organization. She is a regular speaker at Continuing Legal Education (CLE) classes covering various issues, including search and seizure, jury selection, opening and closing arguments, misdemeanor practice, sentencing options and ethical considerations. In addition, she has handled successful Supreme Court Appeals and numerous Appellate Court appeals. She is well known in Washington courtrooms for the quality of her criminal defense, personal injury and family law work.
